Year 4
Spring 1 - Dance
Our fantastic children in Year 4 have been working really hard on their dancing skills this half term. This week we focused on making our own movement to our song which is linked to our main project this term of "Misty Moutains & Winding Rivers!" Well Done Year 4!
Lesson 4 - Jumping from heights!
Our fantastic Year 4 children explored jumping from heights in their Gymnastics lesson. They performed their jumps with excellent safety, amazing performance and great styling! Well done Year 4.
Lesson 3 - Rolls
During our lesson this week, Year 4 explored rolls on the mats in small teams. We performed a front support to back support which is a very tricky roll! Well done Year 4, excellent skills demonstrated!
Lesson 2 - Group balances
During our second PE lesson, Year 4 worked in small teams to create some group balances focusing on teamwork. Well done Year 4, this was a fantastic lesson with some excellent Gymnastic skills demonstrated!
Lesson 1 - Gymnastics - Shapes
During our first PE lesson in Autumn 2, Year 4 started their new topic which is Gymnastics! year 4 explored a range of shapes and balances on the mats and did a fantastic job remembering some of the shapes and balances they have learnt in previous years. Well done Year 4!
Lesson 4 - Recap of skills
This week in PE, Year 4 recapped some key skills they have learnt so far! We are practicing our throwing and catching ready to perform some shooting skills next week. Well done Year 4!
Lesson 3 - Co-ordination
In Lesson 3, Year 4 developed their co-ordination skills through a variety of team games in Netball. They performed excellent team work throughout, well done Year 4!
Lesson 2 - Netball throwing and catching
During their second PE lesson, Year 4 started their new topic for Autumn 1, this is Netball! During the lesson, children worked really hard on their throwing and catching skills ready to improve their co-ordination skills next week! Well done Year 4
Lesson 1 - Team building
During our first lesson, Team Year 4 worked on team building games including elephant football. Children had to communicate in groups to get the ball through each others legs. Well done Year 4!
