Application Process

Job Purpose:

To support the Mathematics team to promote a love of Mathematics and assist children and staff with delivering the Mathematics curriculum throughout school.

Line Management:

Mrs Wellings and Mrs Livesey

 

Liaising with:

Mrs Cunningham -Headteacher and School’s Senior Leadership Team

Woodland Community Primary School have an exciting opportunity for one boy and one girl from each of our year groups to be Mathematics Ambassadors. This new, exciting role will allow you to work directly alongside the Mathematics team to support further improvement throughout the academic year.

 

Key Skills and Personal Qualities

  • Be able to work as part of a team.
  • Have good leadership attributes.
  • Demonstrate a love of Mathematics  
  • Be a confident communicator with adults and children.
  • Demonstrate excellent behaviour, attitude and attendance.

Specific Duties

  • To attend meetings with the Mathematics team once a half term.
  • To support teaching staff in the delivery of Mathematics to children across school.
  • To have a voice in how Mathematics is delivered to our children.
  • To improve and promote handwriting and presentation in our workbooks.
  • To improve basic skills.  
  • To lead by example and show respect to all adults and children.
  • To share and listen to other children’s ideas and suggestions.
  • To make important decisions to improve Mathematics at Woodland.
  • To help organise and deliver Mathematics enrichment days.
