Woodland Community Primary School have an exciting opportunity for one boy and one girl from each of our year groups to be English Ambassedors. This new, exciting role will allow you to work directly alongside the English team to support further improvement throughout the academic year.
Key Skills and Personal Qualities
- Be able to work as part of a team.
- Have good leadership attributes.
- Demonstrate a love of Englush
- Be a confident communicator with adults and children.
- Demonstrate excellent behaviour, attitude and attendance.
Specific Duties
- To attend meetings with the English team once a half term.
- To support teaching staff in the delivery of English to children across school.
- To have a voice in how English is delivered to our children.
- To promote a love of reading for pleasure in our school.
- To improve and promote handwriting and presentation in our workbooks.
- To champion writing for pleasure through competitions.
- To lead by example and show respect to all adults and children.
- To share and listen to other children’s ideas and suggestions.
- To make important decisions to improve English at Woodland.
- To help organise and deliver English enrichment days.
