We having been exploring all things space recently! We decided to get creative and make our own solar system. To make these personal to us, we added astronauts using our faces! We think they ended up looking amazing!

This week we have been exploring all different tastes. We make fruit kebabs. We got to independently chop our fruit being safe with our knives. Then we assembled our kebabs our selves choosing the order of the fruits. We all tried a fruit we originally didn’t want and found one new favourites!

This week we have spent some time looking at emotions. We looked at different pictures and discussed how they are feeling. We then worked as a team to sort some flash cards out into happy,sad and angry. We spoke about how we can manage these big feelings.

This week, we gathered all the different coloured leaves we could find in our Forest school area. We discuss the colours and why the leaves change colour in Autumn. We then decided to make an Autumn collage using what we had found!

This half term we are carrying on with our Mini Dukes award. We have a new collection of tasks to complete. This week, we made our own sandwiches! We got to pick our own toppings and assemble them independently. Plus, we got to enjoy eating them afterwards!

We have created our own volcanoes. We followed the step by step instructions and created a chemical reaction with vinegar and bicarbonate of soda. To create the look of lava, we added food colouring!

In our Monday SEMH session, we made our own pizza. We assembled them independently and used our knives safely to cut up any toppings we wanted to add. Then we got to enjoy our tasty delicious pizza!

This week we have been extremely busy! We have spent time exploring the new Meadows classroom and all the next exciting things it has to offer us. We have also began our new Muddy Meadows. We took our kites up to Tandle hill and it was the perfect windy day for it.
