Autumn 2

Christmas Craft

In December we enjoyed inviting our families into school to watch our Christmas performance of ‘Santa Clause is coming to town.” We enjoyed learning the song along with some actions that we created ourselves! We then took part in lots of Christmas craft activities with our families. We had lots of fun and enjoyed making different craft!

Warp and Weft - Art

This week we have been looking at the history of weaving and how this has developed over time. We created our own warps and then weaved through these. We found it very tricky to begin with but through our determination we were able to create our own wearing. Next, we will be moving onto thinking about creating designs and patterns using our new skills!

Creating healthy snack and packaging

The children have enjoyed learning about healthy snacks, what makes them healthy and the information on the packaging.  In this unit, the children had the opportunity to make fruit kebabs and the packaging that would be suitable with a label on that needed ingredients, where it was to be stored and eaten by.  The snack then came home for the children to enjoy.
