Woodland Spelling Bee 2024 

Friday 17th May 2024 was Woodland's first Spelling Bee. Every child in school took part in spelling activities and then a class Spelling Bee. The winners from each class were entered into  the semi-finals with Mrs Caron and Mr Heaton and winners from the semi-finals went through to the finals at 2.15 where they competed to be the Spelling Bee 2024 winners in front the whole school.

Lest We Forget Writing Competition 

 

As a school, we have entered 'Young Writers' Les We Forget Poetry Competition, where every child in school wrote their own poem about Britain at War and helping to remember about the people that have served our country. 

 

We look forward to seeing if any of our children won the competition and are published in a poetry book in Spring. 

Big Green Machine Eco Poetry Competition

 

As a school, we have entered 'Young Writers' Big Green Machine Eco Poetry Competition, where every child in school wrote their own poem about being more eco friendly and help to make a difference in world. 

 

We look forward to seeing if any of our children won the competition and are published in a poetry book in Autumn.
