Valentine's Day Craft
A huge thank you to our parents and carers who joined us for a lovely Valentine's day themed craft afternoon.
Making Bread
Linking to our class text 'The Little Red Hen', we made soda bread just like the hen.
Reading Buddies
This afternoon we were visited by one of our year 4 classes. They came to read stories to us as part of our ‘Stories and Rhymes’ project. They children in Reception were very respectful and listened carefully as the older children read.
Gingerbread Men
As part of our project ‘Stories and Rhymes’ we received a letter from the old man and old lady in the story ‘The Gingerbread Man’. They had asked us to make some more gingerbread men because theirs kept running away!
We listened carefully as the adults told us the instructions to make the gingerbread men. We poured, measured, mixed and rolled the dough before we cut our gingerbread men.
Police Visit
Miss Jackie
We were very excited to have a visit from Miss Jackie and her vacuum cleaner to support our ‘Marvellous Machines’ project. We compared her vacuum to one’s that we have at home before Miss Jackie demonstrated how hers works and let some children have a go!
