Enrichment

Year 4 went to Towneley Hall, Burnley with the Ribble Rivers Trust. The children took part in some engaging and interactive workshops linked to their unit, Misty Mountain, Winding River. They also saw baby trout, enjoyed a walk, exploring the local river and loved spotting the different river features.

This term, Year 2 have been learning about Coastlines, through their Geography project. They visited Lytham St Anne's for their memorable experience linked to their project. During the memorable experience, they were able to spot various human and physical features of the coastline including a pier, sea wall, beach huts, RNLI and of course, the beach! Even though it was a bit wet and windy, they still had lots of fun!

Year 6 - Frozen Kingdoms Workshop

Year 6 took part in a Frozen Kingdom day, where they had a Frozen Kingdom workshop come into school to work with them, using Drama to enhance their understanding of the Arctic and Antarctic regions. They practiced drama techniques, took on roles from different polar expeditions and created freeze frames of polar activities.
