Please see below an email from the LA regarding ensuring that parents/carers are regularly monitoring their children’s internet use.

If opportunities arise this week to speak to your children about the importance of keeping ourselves safe online, please can you discuss with them.

Good morning.

 

One of our primary schools has shared the information below. The police are aware. Please be vigilant and advise parents at every opportunity about monitoring internet use.

A year two boy has been approached by a male whilst playing Fortnite.

The man played with him on Fortnite and lured him into video chatting with him by downloading a app called "lobby" and in return he would be best friends with him and give him free things on Fortnite and he would make him famous on YouTube. He had been asking the child what his real name is & who are his friends are so he can add them too.
