All across this half term, we have continued to develop our phonics knowledge through looking at the last of our GPC's. We are now working really hard to chunk up longer words, recognising diagraphs and trigraphs within. In English we explored the text Emily Brown and The Thing. We enjoyed writing character and setting descriptions using a range of adjectives to improve our vocabulary. In maths we explored numbers to 8 and explored different bonds within. We also began to learn about time and capacity. Within project work we looked at things in the past and present comparing how things including ourselves have changed over time. It was adorable to see pictures of the children as babies.
