Multiplication and division

Spring term saw the children look at the unit multiplication and division and having to multiply 2 and 3 digit numbers by 1 digit number.  The children used counters to look at arrays and how to split arrays to further their understanding.

Freeze frames

Our book this half term is Pugs of the Frozen North and on Wednesday after reading chapter one the classes were generating character’s thoughts through freeze frames.  The children had to identify main ideas from the chapter and think of a freeze frame in groups.  The rest of the class then had to guess the freeze frame of each group.
