This term, Year 2 have been learning all about Coastlines in English, Geography and DT lessons so to consolidate all of our learning, we went to Lytham St. Anne’s! On our memorable experience, we were able to point out various human and physical features of the coastline including a pier, sea wall, beach huts, RNLI and of course, the beach! Even though it was a bit wet and windy, we still had lots of fun!
This week, we have celebrated Science Week! On Tuesday, we took part in 3 different investigations. The first investigation was where we had to find out which objects float and which objects sink. The second investigation was where we had find out which liquid had the biggest reaction. Our final investigation was where we had to find out what happens when we put skittles in water. We had lots of fun through out the day and learnt lots of new things about Science!
This week, in our Science lesson, we identified different seasonal plants that we could see around the school grounds. First we watched a seasonal changes in plants video and then we went outside with plant identification sheets to see which plants we could find. When we returned to the classroom, we discussed what we had seen,
This week in our R.E lesson we learnt about what happened at Easter and how this makes people feel. We listened to the Easter story and discussed what happened in order. Then we were given different parts to play and we acted out the Easter story as a class.
