Spring 2

This week, we joined our friends in the Meadows to celebrate Easter. We decided to make Easter Egg cheesecakes and we decorated them ourselves. We make sure that we followed our hygiene rules whilst preparing the food and had lots of fun making them!

This week, the children have been given a variety of different materials and have been able to make spoon animals. We have been exploring safari animals this half term and the children picked their favourite animals to make. We all enjoyed being able to be creative and explore the different textures of the materials.

To celebrate British science week, the children in the Orchard have enjoyed exploring various experiments. We got a variety of different sweets and placed them in water to predict what we thought might happen. We loved seeing the results!

In the Orchard class, we have continued our discussions around healthy eating and making choices to try different foods. We made our own pizzas using pitta breads and designed and baked them ourselves. We all enjoyed getting to try new combinations for our pizzas.

This week, we have continued with our new topic of "Animal Safari". The children have made their own Safari Dioramas and decorated them individually. We had lots of discussion around what each of the animals would need to survive and ensured we included these as well.
