Summer 1

Week beginning 20th May 2022.

This week, we continued to look at our new class text, The Gigantic Turnip. We have been using it as inspiration to write an alternative version of the text based on our favourite fruits / vegetables. We are really getting good at writing key words using our phonics skills. In Maths, we have been looking at adding numbers through first, then and now stories. We begun the week by recapping how to compose teen numbers matching and making to 20. In Topic, we have continued to look at traditional tales - The 3 little pigs. We looked at different homes and discussed which ones would be best to protect us from the big bad wolf. This helped us to also think about our homes and the materials used to construct them.
