Spring 2023 - 2024 

The Mathematics Ambassadors have worked together to improve times tables recall across the school. The ambassadors continue to encourage their peers to compete online using Times Tables Rock Stars, and report weekly who the winning child is in their year group from Year 2 to Year 6. The winning child is then presented with a certificate in our Celebration Assembly every Friday. 

Autumn 2023 - 2024 

Our Mathematics Ambassadors have met 2 times already this year and have worked hard on their actions that they set out in our first meeting. They began by looking at how to improve our arithmetic skills and agreed daily practice as well as arithmetic homework would be a good idea. They fed this information back to classes and these ideas were launched, early on in the Autumn term.

The ambassadors planned and delivered a fantastic Times Tables Rockstars Day that took part in November 2023. The ambassadors visited unit assemblies to talk about the day and got the children excited to take place. The ambassadors demonstrated different activities that would take part that day and assisted teachers with delivering these in class. Part of the day was a competition where the ambassadors lead the final stage via Zoom so the whole school could support their class friends. An excellent day had by all!!
