Yoga

Yoga proves to be a highly beneficial activity for enhancing body awareness, facilitating emotional and sensory regulation, and improving focus. In our school, we incorporate regular yoga sessions alongside calming relaxation practices, often integrating them into our Physical Education (PE) and Personal, Social, and Emotional Development (PSED) lessons. At home, yoga can be used as a means to invigorate the body in the morning or to promote relaxation and flexibility before bedtime.

To maximize the benefits of yoga for your child, try to follow a structured yoga routine. This approach helps your child become familiar with various poses and movements while gaining confidence in purposeful and calming body motions. Your active participation in the practice, where you model correct positions, offers your child a visual guide for understanding how their body should move. It's a fantastic activity that the entire family can engage in and enjoy together!
